WHOLE (2023)

written and directed by Monty Cole

Growing up in the suburbs, 12 year old Brandon Moore feels like he's maybe missing parts of his Blackness. When his friend's aunt accidentally takes him into a part of the city where he's not supposed to go, Brandon discovers that maybe he's not missing anything at all. Maybe he's Whole.

Monty says, “This is based off a true story, my story, of growing up in the suburbs and feeling like there was a part of my Blackness that was missing. This short is me reaching back in time to tell a younger me that everything’s going to be okay.”
